When we are at the supermarket, my three kids would pick this and that. When I’m already at the cashier, that’s when I would notice them – foods that I did not put on my grocery basket. Most of them are candies and other junk foods I do not approve of.
Please don’t get me wrong. I also love to indulge my kids once in a while, but not weekly or every grocery time. I choose what I let them eat. I read the labels first if the product is new to me. I want them to avoid foods with too much salt and MSG on them. I know good lactobacilli are pancreatic enzymes and that’s what I make sure they always have. And I want to teach them that awareness while they are young so they can practice checking what they eat.
