Opinions and Frames of Reference

Frame of reference pertains to the way a person perceives things. We have different frames of references. We have different ways of seeing. Our frames of reference are influenced by our age, educational attainment, environment, religious backgrounds, political affiliations, experiences, and culture. That is why we tend to have different opinions on things. We cannot force a person to look at something the way we look at it. But the thing is, most people are not even aware of this. Some have the notion that everyone is wired in the same manner in that a deviation from that would mean chaos. Unfortunately, miscommunications are actually a result of one’s inability to accept another’s frame of reference.
