Just like adults, children have interesting ways of resolving conflicts. For very young kids who do not have the mastery of the language yet, they tend to use devices like increased volume of speech; repetition of demands and arguments; and making physical manifestations of annoyance, impatience, and anger.
Sometimes just being calm while artfully pretending not to hear the other will do the trick. Whatever the methods are, it is interesting to note the power struggle between or among the conflicting parties. Adults, on the other hand, oftentimes have more advanced strategies in resolving conflict. Or do we? Think again.
